Block restricted Postal/ZIP codes at checkout with simple rules — and optionally show a warning in the cart before checkout to set expectations early.
You can block a full code (exact match) or block a group of codes that start the same way.
For example, 941 blocks codes that start with 941, and SW1 blocks codes that
start with SW1.
For full codes, remove spaces (for example M4B1B3 instead of M4B 1B3).
Apply a rule to any country, or restrict it to a specific country using a standard two-letter country code (US, CA, GB, AU, etc).
If you add the theme block to your cart template, you can show a short notice on the cart page. The same wording can be used if a Postal/ZIP code is blocked at checkout.
No theme changes are required for checkout blocking. The optional cart notice only appears if you add the app block to your cart template.
You can block a full code, or block a group by using a prefix with an asterisk at the end (like 941*, SW1*, M4B*, 2000*, and many others).
No. The app evaluates the customer’s Postal/ZIP code only to apply your rules. Your rule settings are stored for your shop.
Email [email protected] with your shop domain and a few examples of codes to block. We’ll help validate the rules.
